JANUARY-Month Long-Virginia City is open for business, its Warm inside the shops, perfect time for local communities to visit.
FEBRUARY 11th- Devil Made me do it crawl (Taste testing from most of the bars)
MARCH 11th- Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry (You'll definitely have a ball at this event! literally)
APRIL 15th- Father Daughter Dance (Dads, take your special baby girl to this event)

Our group also quietly supports the community through volunteer work ranging from holiday decorating to events at Piper's Opera House.
We have represented the Comstock at various events in Carson City, Minden, Reno, Dayton and across the region.
To ensure safety for all attendees:
Prior to ANY Parade in which the Silent Riders Participate in- ALL firearms all thoroughly inspected for empty chambers by an authorized and licensed instructor from FIRST SHOT Nevada, or an appointed inspector, prior to blanks being distributed for parade discharge.
Built in 1876, The St. Mary Louise Hospital was originally established by the Sisters of Charity and Bishop Patrick Manogue. The 36-room hospital included five wards and 12 private rooms that could accommodate more than 70 patients.
Along with continuing the traditions of the past, strolling the boardwalk and speaking with visitors about Virginia City History, the Silent Riders participate in a number of special events in town throughout the year. You can find us in virtually every parade that Virginia City has. There is one almost every month, in fact!

By the mid 1870's almost $370 million of silver ore had been extracted from the Comstock Lode. With such wealth for a town of its size, Virginia City became known as the “richest place on earth.
