The Virginia City Silent Riders group is over 100 members strong!

Membership is open by invitation only and after being nominated by an existing member.

Candidates will be voted upon by our founding members (The First Four).

We'd love to get to know you better, so get dressed in your finest period attire and join us in town. The best way to be considered a candidate for The Virginia City Silent Riders is to dress up in period correct attire and join us, walk up and introduce yourself! We can be found usually on Saturday or Sunday up on C street. There are three main saloons The Silent Riders meet at, The Firehouse, The Cigar & Bar and The Union. Also, they can be found be walking up and down C street. Consideration is a semi-Slow process as the Silent Riders want to see you up on the C street boardwalk a couple times a month, or maybe every Saturday or every other Saturday / Sunday. The point is to make sure this is something you really want to do, and not just a whim. Also, it would help if you live in the surrounding area of Virginia City or the town itself. As you get to know the group, eventually someone may ask if you’d like to join and will agree to sponsor you pending approval of the First Four. We are literally ambassadors to the city and meet thousands of visitors from all over the world discussing the towns history and share information on some of the towns past noted residents. We represent the folks of Virginia City  past and present and take this position earnestly. If you join, you will gain the greatest extended family of friends and you will certainly enjoy yourself..
