THE SILENT RIDER SPOTLIGHT

aka "Reverend"  and founder,After 10 years active duty in the U.S. Air Force during Desert Storm, Wes came home to Nevada. Once home he spent the next 22 years as a patrol deputy, K9 handler, SWAT member, undercover officer, & State Trooper before retiring. When his boots aren’t on the boardwalk he is usually camping, riding his Harley, teaching firearms, performing weddings or  having a shootout with  his Gunfighter friends, and loves doing these things with his best friend, his wife!

 aka "Jar", was born in Gilroy California. Moved to Nevada early in life. He has two daughters and two grandchildren he adores . 

He is married to "Lilly Sue" and enjoys his retirement from Law enforcement. Riding his motorcycle ,golfing and being on the board walk are his favorite things to do. 

aka "Gambler", Lives in Nevada.  He has been married for over 42 years and has one son, in law enforcement.  Gary has worked in Fire Services and served on his local school board. Virginia City and it’s rich history is close to Gary’s heart.  You can find him on the boardwalk giving “gold” to kids and the young at heart.

aka "Teacup", Born and raised in Dayton, NV. I started walking with the Silent Riders about a year ago and was officially welcomed to the group July 4th, 2021 being pinned by Tammy Francis (Blaster). You can find me enjoying a cocktail or two at many of our favorite establishments around town or on the boardwalk with my husband, The Kid.

aka  "Hangman", is retired from the fire service and now lives in Virginia City with Dede. I spent 35 years with South King Fire and Rescue in Washington state. We enjoy traveling and showing our Corvette at car shows with our car show friends. We both enjoy walking the boardwalk and  talking with fellow members.

aka "Yukon",  Loves Keeping history alive through photos and theater, a Tahoe and Northern Nevada historian, an American West cowboy re-enactor From New York and raised in South Lake Tahoe. Currently living in Carson City and managing an apartment complex.

aka "Banker",  is a resident of Virginia City, when he's not on the boardwalk talking with visitors and helping with points of interest, he records rock music under the moniker " Carl Elizondo & The Royal Union Of Architects", and has 9 albums out.(www.carlelizondo.com ) He lives with his Silent Rider wife of 30+ 

years Diana, and two Alaskan Klee-Kai pups Abbie & Maddie , they enjoy camping in their RV.

I hail from Michigan but I have been in Nevada for over 20 years and have lived in Virginia City for about 6 years.  I love Virginia City

 a.k.a. "Bat Masterson" I live in Reno, NV and work at a family owned glass business. I have been dressing up on weekends and special events in Virginia City for 10 years (three years now with the Silent Riders). When possible, I travel to Arizona, Colorado and areas in California as well for presentations and to support the history of the old west in other ways.

aka  "Tumbleweed Tom", Watch out for these here newfangled walking steps, they’re  a haunted for sure. I was tripped by some playful ghosts one December evening back in 21 and now I gotta hitch in my step cause why they call me Tumbleweed. Y’all be careful in our lovely piece of heaven. Look forward to seeing you in Virginia City!

aka "Mrs Louisa Cody", has lived in Nevada since 1980, originally from Illinois. The proud mother of three daughters, four grandchildren & married to her one true love for 50 years. Since 2014, at times she portrays LuLu Bell Parr, the 1st Champion Lady Bucking Horse Rider who also performed with Buffalo Bills Wild West. These two women played an integral role in shaping the American  west .  Mary loves family and friends, crocheting, and providing Services for Veterans through D.A.R.

aka "Buffalo Bill Cody", The father of three daughters and four grandchildren, Chuck has lived in Nevada since 1980, originally from Ohio.  Chuck has enjoyed reenacting in Virginia City  since 2014, history of the west and civil war, fishing, hunting, antique fire arms, woodworking, good friends, good food and of course his beautiful wife of 50 years and family. He is a veteran of the stage & screen, but most enjoyable to him is talking with visitors and giving information on Virginia City.

aka "Stoan E. Pickens", was born in Texas, the youngest of 3, and has been a resident of Virginia City, NV since 2002. He is a carpenter and enjoys working with his hands.  He is also a musician with 2 CD's.  Father of 2 children, 2 grandchildren and several step children.

aka "Dakota", was  a resident of Virginia City, NV for 30 years.  She had been married to Tim for 15 years and have two dogs.  She has 2 sons, 1 grandson and enjoyed dancing, listening to music in VC and travelling all over to do gunfight shows. (what made marriage work was shooting Tim on regular basis lol).

aka “Mayor”, is a resident of Virginia City along with his wife Michelle aka”Marigold”.  The are the owners of The Howard Street Home Bed and Breakfast located here in Virginia City.  They live there with their 2 dogs Wyatt and Josephine.  When the Mayor is not found on the Boardwalk or announcing parades you can find him playing music around town under the name “Silver and Gold”.

aka "Savannah Rose" & Sierra Slim" , We are Silent Riders who now live in Twin Falls, ID. We visit Virginia City and participate with the Silent Riders as often as we can.  Hope to see a change in the near future.

 aka "Nightingale", is most often found greeting guests of Virginia City at the Visitor Center. She enjoys creating the historical fashions she wears and sharing the history of Virginia City. She's also been known to grace the stage at Piper's Opera House in performances with Piper's Players. When she's not in town, she's spending time with her husband and children; or sewing up something new to wear.

aka "Annie Oakley",  Lives in Virginia City. I enjoy walking the boardwalk and talking to tourists about the history of town, providing information on local businesses and must-see tours. 

aka "Jackal",  seems quiet and docile but don't let that fool you he’s always watching his environment and pack as He’s very protective. He does have a great personality and enjoys visiting with friends. Living here nearly his Entire life. He’s a bit cautious at first meeting, If your accepted into his circle you must have earned it!

aka "Wildcat", is married to "Jackal" and similar to her mate, she’s always watching. As a proud 4th generation Nevadans she has grown up here in the area.  As her name she’s usually docile, but cross her and you’ll see the other side.  If looks could kill her piercing blue eyes should be considered weapons. 

aka "Teach",  has been a secondary Science teacher for over 25 years and in three different states, including Maryland, Hawaii and Nevada. Born and raised in the Washington DC, she changed her medical major over to education. She likes all areas of science, enjoys riding motorcycles, shooting and camping across the country. 

aka "Plank",  was born and raised in the Detroit area. He is a retired US Navy veteran, which included being a PLANKOWNER for the brand new ships. He has a military and civilian law enforcement background as well as military firefighting, damage control and force protection instructing. He enjoys photography, motorcycle riding, shooting, camping and history. 

aka "Belle Star", Born in Reno,  loves fishing, camping and off roading. Likes drawing and art. I Love my 4 cats & my dog. Love love love Virginia City, my home away from home!

I love being up in VC if we’re not up there, we’re camping or riding . I tell everyone we live up in VC but sleep in Dayton

aka "Poncho", was raised in Nevada and currently lives in Dayton. Moved back 20+ years later after military service in the Army. I love spending time with my family and out doors. I enjoy walking the boardwalk with my fellow Silent Riders and reenactments with the local Civil War group. I love history and sharing it with others.

 aka  "Crazy Kate", was the owner of the boarding house where the GREAT VIRGINIA CITY FIRE started on October 26, 1875, burning down 75% o f our fine city. I love dressing up in vintage clothing on weekends and walking thru town welcoming tourists and telling some history of our town. 

 aka  "Marshall", Was an Oakland fireman for 25 years, he retired and lived in Dayton, Nevada. He was married to wife Gwen for 43 years, they have 2 children and a grandson Jordan, who is an aspiring Silent Rider.

 aka "Lilly Sue" Born and raised in Germany and ended up in Nevada in 2005. Fell in love with Virgina City and the history of the beautiful charming town. 
Married her Partner in crime "Gary "at the Washoe club in town. Loves spending time with her family ,friends and her dogs. Animals are a big part of her life . Works in the animal rescue field.  RESCUE / ADOPT / FOSTER

 aka "Lilly Langtree",  Lillie Langtry, a socialite, stage actress and producer.  She would go on to star in many plays in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Today she enjoys life with her husband Yukon, she loves children and animals.

 a.k.a. "Dolly",  Retired to Nevada four years ago after 40+ years of working with animals wild and domestic.  She lives with her husband “Gambler” in her castle! Sandi loves to go out and take pictures of wild horses. Being a Silent Rider allows her to experience life in a bygone era.  

 a.k.a. "Bankers Wife", is  Retired and enjoys her life up in Virginia City. She loves to take care of her two Alaskan Klee Kai -Abigail and Madison & going camping, but most of all loves walking the boardwalk and talking with all of the visitors from around the world.

 a.k.a. "The Eye", Always keeping a close eye on what's happening and usually has a camera ready to capture the moment. A long time resident of northern Nevada, Melody enjoys time with her husband Jim and relaxing with family and friends.

 a.k.a. "Mrs. O’Hara", I was born in Argentina and came to the U.S.  21 Years ago. I became a citizen 8 years ago. I am a Director of HR and really love being around people. Love  Bowling and walking the Boardwalk, camping with my husband and my dog Taiz.  Most of all, sharing stories of 1860's Virginia City with visitors, and keeping History alive!

 a.k.a. "DIXIE", Raised in Los Angeles Ca. (When it was a nice place to live). I enjoy Camping, Fishing and the great outdoors! The Love of my life’s name is Paola who is also a Silent Rider. We live in Carson City but love walking the Historic Boardwalk of Virginia City!

 a.k.a. "Maverick", I live in Yerington,  I hunt, fish, shoot,  and do leather work. I build guns for the 2nd Amendment supporting gun tot'n American people! I love walking the Boardwalk of Virginia City!

"Moonshine Mike", I grew up in Fallon and joined the Army when I was 17.  I spent 25 years in the Army and retired as a Staff Sergeant.  I worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Talladega, Alabama for 20 years and I retired November 2020.  I married my lovely wife, Derringer Deb on August 13th in Virginia City, Nevada.  I really like horseback riding, shooting guns, woodworking, camping, SxS riding and being a Virginia City Silent Rider.
