Virginia City Silent Riders was founded in 2018 and became a 501(c)(4) in 2023 by a group of passionate historians and preservationists who saw a need for a more comprehensive approach to historical preservation. Since then, we have worked on numerous projects across the county. You can find Silent Riders walking the boardwalk, helping make visitors stay, a much more memorable one.
Another saying that could be heard by the plenty of Cornish that populated Virginia City in the 1800's

Athena McInyre is the only “Shadow Rider” of the Virginia City Silent Riders and is an extremely talented singer songwriter. She is located in Northern Nevada and with her gift of storytelling she has written and produced the Silent Riders song. Silent Rider Ralph Ewing, one of the four original Inceptors and answered to SR name Silver Strike, recalls that “Athena created the Silent Rider theme song a couple years ago, and first sang it publicly at a Firehouse-Silent Rider Street Dance event. The song has evolved since then and for doing that, the First Four created the Shadow Rider designation and awarded it to Athena.”
Athena graciously sat down with me for a chat about writing the Silent Riders song and I thank her for her time. Athena said her Grandparents told her to always follow her heart and her heart has always wanted to bring love, joy and music to others, which she clearly does through this song, and has been doing for over a decade now. She plays many instruments, such as piano, electric guitar and harmonica, her harmonica has been with her since she was 22 years old and is played in the beginning of the Silent Riders song. Athena has this quote for the Silent Riders as their sole Shadow Rider, “Without a shadow- you no longer exist, the Silent Riders will now live forever,” a nod to Peter Pan. You can learn more about Athena and her music, or purchase the SR song, along with others Below:

Virginia City Looking South
We are a group of men and women dedicated to preserving the past by showing the future generation our wonderful city and the love we have for one another.
It's been bitterly said that we are "just a bunch of Hollywood cowboys" and "a clown show" but of course we all know that's their very small minded thinking, wrong and misses the point entirely.
We are endeavoring to be "Stewards Of The Past" and teaching the future young ones to be "Ambassadors To The Future"! ... Thats the goal......And thats a good thing.
Know This: The Silent Riders
DO NOT condone violence of any kind,
They Condone LAW & Order!
Be thankful for your struggle, because without it, you would not find your strength.
For the Love of God And Country!
